Slug
I am such a slug, these days. Can't seem to get anything done. BUT...I promise to do a real post, soon.
I love you all! God bless and protect all of you!
Friends
I had someone ask me at dinner last night, how many friends I had that distanced themselves after they heard about my situation. Whether it was because they couldn't handle it, or didn't know how to act, or if they just didn't know what to say, anymore...did any of my friends disappear? After I thought about it for a second, I realized the exact opposite happened. I have more friends, better friends, now than I did before. Old friends and family have reconnected through cards, emails, and phone calls. And you wouldn't believe the new friends! The moms at my oldest daughter's school are amazing! They heard about what was going on, and they jumped to attention. Checking in on me...emailing...calling...taking the kids so I could get some rest. And two very special women share my weird sense of humor, and they constantly make me laugh and smile! (T & D, I am so blessed that you are in my life! OINK!)So, EG, you probably didn't know how your question would affect me, but it was a real eye opener, and I appreciate it!To all my family and friends, new and old, I love you all deeply! Thank you for being in my life!
Chemo #5
Before I write about my most recent chemo treatment, let me say a few thank yous. To B, S, and K...Thank you so very much for an AWESOME weekend at the river! The Stones had a fabulous time! To D & J, and T & S...Thank you for including us in a great Labor Day celebration! We love you all!
OK...chemo #5...showed up for chemo having waited all weekend for the results of the PET scan (which occurred last Thursday afternoon). When the doctor finally came in (don't you hate waiting?), he said he had not received the results, yet. GRRRRR! But, he said he would phone the Imaging Center, and have them fax over the results. Again, more waiting!
Are you paying attention? Are you ready? ALL CLEAR!!!!!! My lymph nodes are back to normal!!!! Praise God!!! Thank God for His mercy, and I thank all of you for your prayers and encouragement!
So, I had chemo, today...one more chemo in three weeks, and I'm done! They'll do PET scans every three months for a while, then every six months, and then every year! My family is so pumped!!!!
Again, I thank God for getting me through this, and I thank all of you for your prayers!!!!
