PET Scan

Hi, everyone!

I have, yet again, not been prompt on my postings. Those of you who see us on a regular basis probably know why. I'm too BUSY! Two active little girls really keep you on your toes.

I had a PET Scan on Monday, and I got the results on Thursday afternoon.

ALL CLEAR! In fact, I think he used the word "Perfect!" Wow! Such a great thing to hear! I'm working...very hard...on losing the chemo weight, but decided to celebrate with a hard cider that evening! Tastes so much sweeter when you're celebrating something so important.

I'm very thankful that I didn't have any mysterious symptoms this time. It is scary to admit that it is getting easier to go for my PETs.

We're all doing well! Hope all of our friends and loved ones are as well!

May God continue to bless us all with good health and happiness!

HE DID IT!!!!

I've been trying to post this for a week, and hit a few obstacles, but...

DH finished his first marathon with awesome results!

So, in a nutshell, he finished in 4:40:30, which placed him as 4150th to cross the finish line. There were about 37000 runners, and that number includes half-marathoners. He finished 2507th in men, and 462nd in his age group.

I am sooooo proud! What commitment! God Bess him, and all the runners, especially those running for a charitable cause!

Fundraising Goal Reached

DH reached his fundraising goal for the PF Chang's Rock n Roll Marathon!!!! $4, 285 raised, and he still has corporate fund matching coming in! I am so very proud of him, and so thankful to all of you who helped his efforts!

Also, the infant I spoke of earlier is home safe and sound! Prayer is a marvelous thing, isn't it?! MC, we're glad you're perking up, little one!

God Bless!

Happy New Year!

I started the New Year the way all parents should....SLEEPING LATE!!! My dear family let me sleep in this morning! (And, I didn't even stay up until midnight!)

DH ran 20 miles, today! Can you imagine? I'm so proud of him.

Please, pray for a few folks for me. Our pastor is going to have surgery, tomorrow. And, the infant daughter of one of my oldest friends has been in the hospital since Dec. 27. They both need all the prayers they can get.

Let's thank God for all of the blessings of last year, and all of the many blessings awaiting us in 2007.

I love you, all!

Tragedy in my hometown...

Yesterday, a school bus carrying local high school students plunged off a highway overpass killing two passengers. Two more students have passed away since then. Please, join me in praying for all of the young people involved, their bus driver, and their loved ones.

Catching Up!

Hi! I won't apologize for the lack of posting...let's just say "No news is good news." :)

Guess where we went for Fall Break...

Invasion of the Mouse House!

DH and I surprised the lovely ladies with a trip to Walt Disney World! We managed to pull it off, too. The girls didn't even question our destination until we drove under the huge "Walt Disney World" sign that spans 8 lanes of highway! DH thought I was very sly, but, it turns out, the children are very unobservant.

We had a truly magical time, as you can see!

DD#2 turned 6 on October 18, and DD#1 turns 9 on October 28. Happy birthday, precious girls!

I had PET scan #6 (can you believe it has been 18 months, already?) last Monday. ALL CLEAR! Such a blessing! My next round of "maintenance" is in November.

We're working on all kinds of home improvement projects, the girls are finishing up cheer season, DH is running all the time...We are crazy busy, just like all of our friends!

Let's all remember as the holiday season fast approaches (CAN U BELIEVE IT?) how truly blessed we are. God continues to bless me and my loved ones every day. I'm not sure what I have done, if anything, to deserve such riches in my life, but I thank God for every little blessing!

I love you, all!
