The day to day events of my battle with lymphoma. (Okay, it's turning out to be week to week events.)

Chemo Brain

So, I logged on this morning, typed in a truly eloquent post, and decided I needed to check one thing on the internet before I posted. I got a pop up asking if I wanted to navigate away from blogger, changes would not be saved. I actually thought to myself,"I haven't made any changes," and clicked on OK. Problem was...I hadn't saved at all. GRRR. This post won't be near as funny as that one. That one was a laugh riot.

(It's thundering as I type this, so Murphy's Law states that the power will blink, and I'll lose this post, too.)

Speaking of Murphy's Law...On Wed of this week, we went to an Open House/Orientation kind of thing at A's school. One the way there, I commented that the warranty on our van would expire this month....Can you feel it coming? When we got ready to leave, the van wouldn't start. Do you remember me saying that was Wed? The warranty expired on Tues! Can you believe that? Thank you TC for all your help, and the ride home!

Yesterday was my 10 year anniversary, and I have the most wonderful hubby in the world! I thank God for him, and that's not just because he gave me wonderful gifts! I got a little black purse that reads,"Put your big girl panties on and deal with it!" There was a great notepad (that had to go to work with me) that had,"I want to be Barbie, that b**** had everything!" (Not very polite, I know, but, you gotta admit, it's pretty accurate.) He gave me chocolate, of course. I got a little pocket book of the Sweet Potato Queens. (Ladies if you haven't read The Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love, you must! It is a hoot!) I got a book about love. :) And...a beautiful diamond pendant! He broke the budget in a large way! I got him a Buck knife, which I joke will make a great headline, someday. MAN KILLS WIFE WITH ANNIVERSARY PRESENT. :) Joking, folks, just joking.

Ok, on to health issues. I'm doing great. Little tired, and my hair is still shedding. I've been told by people who know and love me that I have plenty of hair to spare, but I'm a little tired of finding what appears to be a small dead rodent in the shower drain every morning. (Thanks for the visual, TCC! That describes it perfectly!) The weight gain really bugs me because I lost almost 40 lbs, two years ago, on Weight Watchers. But I did have a friend (MP) tell me I didn't look "Fluffy." I love that!

I am surrounded by the most amazing friends and family. Everywhere I go, I find encouragement and love. I'll never be able to express how much all of you mean to me! I love you, and God Bless!

No loss of power! Yey!
