Friends

I had someone ask me at dinner last night, how many friends I had that distanced themselves after they heard about my situation. Whether it was because they couldn't handle it, or didn't know how to act, or if they just didn't know what to say, anymore...did any of my friends disappear? After I thought about it for a second, I realized the exact opposite happened. I have more friends, better friends, now than I did before. Old friends and family have reconnected through cards, emails, and phone calls.

And you wouldn't believe the new friends! The moms at my oldest daughter's school are amazing! They heard about what was going on, and they jumped to attention. Checking in on me...emailing...calling...taking the kids so I could get some rest. And two very special women share my weird sense of humor, and they constantly make me laugh and smile! (T & D, I am so blessed that you are in my life! OINK!)

So, EG, you probably didn't know how your question would affect me, but it was a real eye opener, and I appreciate it!

To all my family and friends, new and old, I love you all deeply! Thank you for being in my life!

TacyLou,
OINK! I just think you are super special! You are awesome. Thank you for letting me into your life. You are truly inspiring! You have the most positive attitude I have ever encountered, not once have I seen you without a smile on your face throughout this whole ordeal.
God has truly blessed me by letting me witness this miracle and giving me a new friend. Thank you. OINK, SNORT!
